A community feels closer when you know the people behind its businesses, the places worth exploring, and the neighbors making a difference. That is the spirit behind Kennebec Valley Voice—and this new Insights blog.

Our newsletter brings local information to your inbox. Insights gives us room to spend a little more time with a useful idea, a local story, or a question that deserves more than a quick mention.

Local stories with something useful to offer

Here, we will share stories about the Kennebec Valley’s people, independent businesses, community organizations, and places. Our aim is simple: help you feel more connected to the region and give you information you can use.

That might mean getting to know the person behind a local business, learning how an organization serves its neighbors, or discovering a place you have driven past without stopping. We will also explore practical ideas from local business owners and community members.

A companion to your newsletter

The blog and newsletter work together. Read Insights when you want a closer look at a story, and subscribe to Kennebec Valley Voice for local events, business news, and community updates delivered to your inbox.

You can share an article with a friend, return to it later, or use it as a starting point for learning more about the people and places around you.

Your community has stories worth telling

Some of the best stories begin with a small detail: a business solving a familiar problem, a volunteer quietly showing up, or neighbors finding a way to help one another.

If you have a story idea for Kennebec Valley Voice, I would like to hear it. Email [email protected] with the person, place, or organization you think we should know about, and tell me why it matters to the community.

Thank you for being here at the beginning. I look forward to sharing more of the Kennebec Valley with you.
